2025 DCTF Board Announcements

The Dream Come True Foundation Announces 2025 Board of Directors The Dream Come True Foundation, dedicated to supporting individuals in their educational pursuits through financial assistance, mentorship, and strategic community partnerships, has announced its Board of Directors for 2025. Lorie Ramirez will lead the organization as the new President, while Michael Rayos steps into the role of Vice President. Sam Myers and Heather Bailey will continue their dedicated service in their respective roles as Treasurer and Secretary. The Board also includes returning members Shaquille Gould and Yvette Neiymeyer, with Carmella Lucero joining as the newest addition to the team. Together, they will guide the foundation’s mission to help individuals achieve their educational goals. The foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to outgoing board members Raquel Valdez, who served as Vice President, and Ronald Dittmar, who served as Treasurer. Their contributions have been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission. This diverse and experienced Board of Directors remains committed to fostering educational opportunities and creating lasting impact in the community through financial support, mentorship, and strategic partnerships.

The Dream Come True Foundation recognizes Ronald (Ronnie) Dittmar for his impactful board service.  As he concludes his dynamic seven-year term as Treasurer and Bookkeeper (2018-2025). Known for his financial acumen and dedication, Ronnie has been a driving force behind the foundation’s robust financial management practices. During his tenure, Ronnie transformed the foundation’s financial operations, establishing sound financial practices and reporting, as well as maintaining exemplary standards of transparency. His expertise has been crucial in successfully navigating audits and building strong relationships with donors through detailed financial reporting.  As an active figure in the Austin community, Ronie balances his professional contributions with his commitment to serve as an advocate for the Bouldin Neighborhood, as well contributes to the Austin local music and art scene, where you can still catch him performing at venues around town.  The Dream Come True Foundation celebrates Ronnie’s outstanding service.

The Dream Come True Foundation recognizes Raquel Valdez Sanchez for her outstanding contributions. Despite her demanding role as the Executive Director of Business Community Lenders (BCL), Raquel has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to The Dream Come True Foundation and its mission. The Foundation extends its deepest appreciation for her remarkable service from 2017 to 2025. While balancing her professional responsibilities, Raquel has selflessly devoted her time and expertise to multiple leadership positions within the Foundation, including Secretary and Vice-Chair. As Chair of the Program Services Committee, she went above and beyond, developing vital applicant selection and mentoring processes and training programs that have transformed how we support Dream Achievers. We thank Raquel for her unwavering commitment to community service, which truly exemplifies the spirit of giving back. The Foundation is profoundly grateful for her service and the lasting impact she has made in strengthening our programs.
